Deleting a Report

Deleting a report is an irreversible operation that cascades to delete all related data: configuration, run history, execution logs, and dependencies. Data in the Google Sheets output sheet is not affected by deletion.

Before you begin

  • Deletion is irreversible — a report cannot be restored through the interface (only by contacting support within 7 days)
  • Make sure the report isn't used as a source for other reports (dependency chain)
  • If a report is simply not needed temporarily, it's better to disable its schedule rather than delete it
  • Data in the Google Sheets output sheet remains untouched — only the update logic is removed

Step-by-step instructions

1. Check dependencies

Before deleting, check whether the report is used as a source for other reports. If it is, deletion will cause errors in the dependent reports.

2. Open the report page

Go to the Reports section and open the target report.

3. Initiate deletion

Click the Delete button (trash icon) in the upper-right corner of the report details page.

4. Confirm deletion

The system shows a confirmation dialog with information:

  • Report name
  • Number of run-history records that will be deleted
  • A warning about irreversibility

Click Confirm Deletion.

5. Enter the report name (optional)

Depending on workspace settings, the system may ask you to type the report's name as additional confirmation. Enter the exact name and click Delete.

6. Check the result

After deletion:

  • The report disappears from the list
  • Run history is deleted
  • Execution logs are cleared
  • The schedule stops

What gets deleted in cascade

  • Report configuration (all builder parameters)
  • Run history (statuses, timing, duration)
  • Execution logs (errors, warnings, debug information)
  • Schedule (all frequency settings)
  • Relations to other reports (dependencies)

What is NOT deleted

  • Data in the output sheet — Google Sheets is not affected. All previously written rows remain
  • Connections — integrations and connections aren't deleted; they're shared across the workspace
  • Custom columns — if used in other reports

How to verify

  • Open the reports list — the deleted report should be absent
  • Check the output sheet in Google Sheets — the data should be preserved
  • Check dependent reports (if any) — their operation should not be disrupted
  • Check the schedules section — the schedule entry for the deleted report should be gone

Alternatives to deletion

If you're not sure the report should be deleted permanently:

  • Disable the schedule — the report is preserved but won't run automatically
  • Rename it — add an [ARCHIVE] prefix to the name to hide it from active use
  • Change the output sheet — redirect output to a test sheet
