Duplicating a Report

Duplication creates a full copy of an existing report with all its settings: data source, metrics, filters, output, and schedule. It's a fast way to create a similar report without configuring everything from scratch.

Before you begin

  • Duplication is available for all report types (Google Sheets, CSV, JSON)
  • The schedule is automatically turned off in the copy — you need to enable it manually if required
  • The copy is created in the same workspace

Step-by-step instructions

1. Open the reports list

Go to the Reports section in the left-hand menu. You'll see a table with all reports.

2. Find the report to duplicate

Use search or filters. You can duplicate both active and archived reports.

3. Start duplication

Hover over the report row and click the Duplicate icon (two squares) in the actions panel. Alternatively: open the report page and click Duplicate in the upper-right corner.

4. Configure the copy

The Report Builder opens, pre-filled with the original's parameters. By default, the copy's name is [Original Name] (copy).

Change:

  • Name — give it a meaningful name
  • Output sheet — specify a different sheet so as not to overwrite the original's data
  • Parameters — change only what should differ (for example, a campaign or date filter)

5. Save the copy

Click Save. The new report will appear in the reports list.

6. Enable the schedule (if needed)

By default, the schedule in the copy is off. If you want automatic runs:

  • Open the report's settings
  • Go to the Schedule section
  • Configure the frequency and enable it

What gets copied on duplication

  • Data source (connection, account, entity)
  • Metrics and dimensions
  • Filters and sorting
  • Row limit
  • Output settings (sheet, write mode, columns, headers)
  • All builder parameters

What is NOT copied

  • Schedule — turned off in the copy
  • Run history — the copy gets its own history, starting from zero
  • Relations — if the original is used as a source for another report, that relation isn't copied

How to verify

  • Open the reports list — the copy should appear with "(copy)" in its name
  • Open the copy — check that all parameters match the original
  • Run the copy manually — make sure data is correctly written to the specified sheet
  • Check that the schedule is off (no green indicator)

Common use cases

  • Similar report for a different account — copy, change the account and output sheet
  • Variant with different filters — copy, change the filters (for example, different campaigns)
  • Different output frequency — copy, configure different schedules for different sheets
  • Safe testing — copy, experiment with parameters without affecting the production report
